Connect a Data Source

< All Topics

Before diving into creating your media mix strategy, you’ll need to connect your advertising data sources to OptalX. This might include linking your accounts from platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or any other platforms you use for running ad campaigns. By connecting these data sources, you provide OptalX with the historical performance data of your campaigns, which it will use to inform your media mix strategy.

Once your data sources are connected, you’ll define how you want your campaign data to be segmented. For example, you might choose to segment by tactic to allow OptalX to allocate budget at that level of granularity. You’ll also set the data refresh schedule, determining how often OptalX imports the latest data from your ad accounts. Additionally, you’ll specify the lookback window for your data import, indicating the timeframe of historical data OptalX should consider.

All the data segments you configure from your connected data sources will be stored in the OptalX Benchmark Library. This library serves as a central repository for all your first-party data, making it readily available for use in your media mix strategies.

If you have any issues connecting your data sources or configuring your data settings, don’t hesitate to contact OptalX support. Our support team is happy to assist you.
