Understanding the Algorithm

OptalX prioritizes media channels based on their potential to achieve your objectives. It calculates a Weighted Objective Score (WOS) for each channel, considering factors like the objectives and the data from the project.

  1. Prioritization: The channel with the highest WOS receives the maximum budget allocation, up to its capacity.
  2. Reallocation: Once a channel reaches its maximum, the remaining budget is allocated to the next highest-scoring channel.
  3. Elimination: Some mediums you add as options may be eliminated by the system as it prioritizes the mediums that will best achieve your objectives for the final strategy.

Customization: While OptalX automatically optimizes your budget, you can manually adjust allocations to specific channels by expanding your columns on the Media Mix Channels page and setting a minimum or maximum spend.

Budget Limitations: If the total allocated spend is less than your set project budget, it’s likely due to limited audience reach or keyword search volume. The system will not allocate spend where there is no clear opportunity to scale. To allocate the full budget, consider expanding your target audience, keywords, or increasing the target frequency.
