One piece ends inan explosion, while the other offers us meditative contemplation. We also have an apparent clash of nationalities: Prokofiev was Russian, (b. Sontsivka, Ukraine) Silvestrov isUkrainian, and conductor Dmitry Matvienko is Belarusian. But
